2015 Lodge Management Certification Program: Courses and Training Dates


Are you ready to lead your lodge? Summer Lodge Management Certification Program (LMCP) courses offer targeted tools to help you maximize your impact and help your lodge to thrive. Register today.

Two convenient course options:

Webinars:Webinars allow participants to access LMCP training from anywhere with an Internet connection. Weeknight webinars are held from 6:00-7:30 p.m.; Saturday webinars take place from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Participants must complete both a Session 1 and a Session 2 webinar to gain course certification. Each session is $15.

In-person training:In-person course training takes place at convenient locations in Northern and Southern California. Courses are held Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with a break from 12:00-1:00 p.m. One full-day training is required for course certification. Each course is $30.

2015 LMCP courses include:

Hall Association Management

Operating a hall association requires directors and members to be well versed in today's business environment. The Hall Association Management course provides a comprehensive overview of hall associations, including their structure and function in the lodge. Participants will become acquainted with business oriented best practices, including risk management, capital planning, and projected building maintenance.

In-Person Training - $30 per course; one required for certification

Lodge Administration

For modern lodges to operate efficiently, a thorough understanding of officers' roles and responsibilities is required. The Lodge Administration course explains how each officer can contribute to the lodge's short and long-term goals, and will provide an overview of best practices in member development, as well as reviewing commonly asked questions about the California Masonic Code.

Lodge Finance

The Lodge Finance course provides a fundamental understanding of essential lodge finance practices, including budget creation, ensuring transparency in lodge and hall association operation through effective reporting and auditing, and developing a long-term financial plan, including investment management.

Session 2: June 18, July 23, Aug. 12

In-Person Training - $30 per course; one required for certification

Anaheim: Sept. 12

Member Experience

Developed in response to the fraternity's strategic plan, the Member Experience course offers innovative suggestions to engage current members and attract prospective ones, guidance for developing and utilizing Masonic education programming, information and direction for using the new character investigation tools, and tips for rallying lodges around local and statewide philanthropic initiatives.

Webinars $15 per session; both sessions required for certification

Session 1: June 22, July 18 (Sat.), Aug. 25
Session 2: June 24, July 25 (Sat.), Aug. 27

In-Person Training - $30 per course; one required for certification
