A new youth order scholarship honors the memory of dedicated Rainbow Girls leader Anna Lind, who passed away December 2006.
Lind joined Rainbow for Girls as a youth in Oregon. Despite not having a car or other transportation, she kept up an active membership by riding 20 miles to the assembly?s location in Newport with the local mail truck.
When her daughter joined the youth order in California, Lind began her tenure as an adult leader. Her positions included mother advisor, supreme deputy, and supreme inspector in California. She is remembered as a devoted leader and inspiring role model.
At the 2009 Grand Assembly of California Rainbow for Girls, husband Bill Lind presented the first Anna Lind Scholarship to Kristina Choi, a college-bound grand officer in the youth order from San Fernando.
