Top 10 Reasons to Attend the Annual Communication

If you haven’t yet committed to attend this year’s Annual Communication, it’s not too late! Here, we share some the top 10 reasons to join your brothers in San Francisco from Oct. 13 to 15 for fraternity, fun, and charting the course of Masonry in California.

    1. Recognize the 300th anniversary of Freemasonry. This year’s Annual Communication is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join brothers from throughout the world in marking the 300th year of great fraternity.

    2. Help chart the future of Masonry in California. Votes by masters, past masters, and wardens constitute the majority. Ensure your lodge’s opinions are heard by sharing your unique perspective. If your officers can’t attend, elect a delegate. Plus, even as non-voting members of Grand Lodge, all Master Masons may attend business sessions. SEE THIS YEAR’S LEGISLATION

    3. Watch the world premiere of a new Masonic documentary. A new feature-length documentary written, directed, and produced by California Masons will be screened for the first time ever on Friday evening. Be the first to see it and participate in an exclusive question and answer session! BUY TICKETS

    4. Explore rare books at the Henry Wilson Coil Library and Museum of Freemasonry. Did you know that the Grand Lodge collection includes some of the earliest books of Freemasonry – including a first edition of Anderson’s Constitution originally printed in the 18th century? See it for yourself in a fantastic new exhibit!

    5. Celebrate the accomplishments of the past fraternal year. Did your lodge or neighboring brothers reach 100 percent officer giving, coach a winning Masons4Mitts team, or win a communications or ritual award? Don’t miss this chance to emphasize their successes with an in-person celebration.

    6. Laugh the afternoon away at Beach Blanket Babylon. If a guest attends with you – or you’d like an entertainment-filled afternoon – San Francisco’s iconic musical is a great choice. Although transportation packages have sold out, tickets are still available. The theatre is just a quick cab ride away. BUY TICKETS

    7. Get personal advice to make your lodge better. The Lodge Support Committee will offer in-person consultations, providing guidance on best practices for lodge administration and improving Member Experience. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

    8. Build your Masonic network. Wondering how successful lodges are getting things done? Take the opportunity to meet fellow Masonic leaders so that the next time your lodge faces a challenge, you’ll have extra perspectives to count on for support.

    9. Explore beautiful San Francisco. What better time to enjoy a weekend in the City by the Bay than with brothers? Grand Lodge’s central Nob Hill location makes it easy for guests to take advantage of the many nearby award-winning restaurants, fabulous shopping opportunities, and picturesque bay views.

    10. Help ring in the new Masonic year. Annual Communication reflects a new beginning at a statewide level, but also for your lodge. Get inspired and harness enthusiasm that can last all year!

We hope to welcome you in October! Discounted Masonic pricing is still available at select Annual Communication hotels. RESERVE NOW
