Together we make a profound difference

An Iconic Symbol of Brotherhood

The Masonic apron has been a revered symbol of the fraternity for centuries.

At this year’s Annual Communication, the Henry Wilson Coil Library and Museum of Freemasonry will shed new light on what is arguably the most distinctive article of Masonic regalia.

Filmed on location with historians and craft artisans around the country, a new documentary video – completed exclusively for Annual Communication – follows the course of the Masonic apron from its arrival in the United States, through the industrial revolution, and to present day.

The documentary will be shown following the business sessions on Friday, September 21. View a sneak peek here.

An accompanying museum exhibit will show examples of various Masonic aprons, allowing guests to personally view the changes of the apron over time – and to reflect on its significant in their own Masonic careers.

Join us for this fascinating view into the history of this celebrated garment. Register today for the 163rd Annual Communication.
