Together we make a profound difference

Into the Daylight

Earlier this month, Siminoff Daylight Lodge No. 850 – located on the campus of the Masonic Home at Union City – celebrated the first degree ceremony in their newly constructed outdoor lodge site.

More than 65 Masons attended the ceremony, which was held to induct Bro. Ali Hifai of Fremont.

Two California past grand masters, Tony Wordlow and Ron Sherod, joined the celebration, along with several district inspectors and masters of nearby lodges. Siminoff Lodge Master Mitch Franceschini joined with Past Master Jack McClellan to lead the ceremony. The “outer lodge” – which is comprised of the hills surrounding the lodge site – was tiled by members of the Ahmes Mounted Patrol.

Siminoff Daylight Lodge is seeking donations to assist in the continued construction and maintenance of the outdoor lodge. In particular, members hope to make the site accessible to those in wheelchairs. For more information, contact Jim Leggate, lodge secretary.
