Early literacy determines our ability to learn for the rest of our lives: If children can’t read, they can’t learn. By supporting Raising A Reader, the Masons of California will start a new cycle of literacy in our state.

California Masons have a long history as champions of public education. Once again, we have the opportunity to be leaders in this cause. Together, we can turn the page for child literacy in California, and make an impact that will last forever.

Year-Round Fundraising: Make a lodge gift. Checks should be mailed and made payable to the California Masonic Foundation with "Grand Master’s Project" in the memo line.

April Event: Organize a National Literacy Month event as part of your lodge’s Public Schools Month in April. The stated meeting can be used to support literacy awareness, thank volunteers, and celebrate local schools.

June Event:Recognize a local kindergarten teacher during your June stated meeting for his or her efforts in teaching our children. These teachers are our classroom heroes!
